Online CPR, AED and first aid training in Quebec
The number of required first aiders depends on the number of workers present simultaneously at the workplace. In general, at least one first aider is needed for a small group of workers, with more required as the workforce grows. The new regulation on minimum first aid standards (RNMPSPS), in force since February 12, 2026, sets out these obligations.
CNESST-recognized workplace first aider training lasts 16 hours and must be delivered by a recognized service provider.
The Ministère de la Famille requires an early-childhood first aid course of at least 8 hours, including a module on managing severe allergic reactions and Level B CPR/AED. Renewal is 6 hours.
